Sa famille a découvert sa vocation et ses frères menacé de la tuer si elle continuait à chanter. Elle s’enfuit et comme par hasard rencontré un célèbre producteur de musique marocaine. Il l’a convaincue de se déplacer avec lui à Casblanca, où elle a rencontré l’artiste Hussein Tulali qui aimait sa voix et sa performance, alors il l’a encouragée durant sa carrière et lui a présenté au public comme l’un des artistes les naiat célèbres à une date ultérieure.
Najat a connu la gloire dans les zlbum Elle a été le premier à parler de tabous tels que la relation entre les hommes et les femmes dans ses chansons. Elle a également chanté sur les questions sociales et la vie des immigrés en utilisant le français, l’arabe et les langues berbères.
